The National Payment System "Peace" intends to ban in the near future the replenishment of foreign electronic wallets through their bank cards. A similar ban is a measure that is aimed at reducing high-risk operations using national payment instruments.

The press service of the Mir payment system said the following: "NSPK, being operated by the Mir payment system, constantly monitors all sorts of payment services that are provided to the Russian market, and also analyzes the risks associated with them. Therefore, soon there will be severe restrictions on the possibility of replenishing foreign electronic wallets using the World Cards. This decision will be one of the measures that is aimed at reducing high-range operations with the application of national payment instruments. "

Russian media report that the corresponding ban is already approved by the management of the payment system. The official date of its commissioning is appointed - April 27, 2021. It is noted that the technological bulletin with this information The Mir payment system has already sent Russian financial and credit institutions.

Obtaining the relevant notification has already been confirmed in a number of domestic banks (Gazprombank, VTB, Promsvyazbank, etc.). Additionally, it is said that the NSPK plans to reject all operations related to the replenishment of foreign electronic wallets from the "Peace" cards.

Therefore, the owners of the Mir cards will be able to replenish only domestic email wallets from April 27, 2021, the most popular among which are "Yumoney" and Qiwi.

It is worth recalling that in January 2021, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation imposed a ban on money transfers from the email wallets Yoomoney (Yumoney) between the individuals (citizens of Russia) and foreign companies, services. Exactly the same ban is imposed on Qiwi wallets.
