Lisa Sorghini: penetrated into the essence of things

Australian photographer Lisa Srgorini ordinary scenes of life turns into cinematographic frames, filling them with drama and a subtle vision of the artist. Sorridges - an intuitive photographer, from her pictures intercepts breathing and goosebumps running through the skin.

"We are convinced, a good photo should cause not only an emotional, but also a physical reaction," says Lisa. - The flutter of the heart, sigh. Before pressing the shutter, I try to find what can really shake feelings.

The work of srigini allocates that they are impregnated with volumetric documentation. The object that is drawn is not just a child, a branch, flower, a crown of a tree, a chain grid, a large cloud. Through the removed images, she turns out to tell the story.

"I like that my photo can often express the fact that I can't do with words," Lisa repeats in an interview in an interview.

The "Forest Fire Fire, Flood and Virus" series about the catastrophe chain, which survived East Australia in the Black Summer of 2020, the best proof of the fact that the image can sometimes sound the piercing and brighter many retells.

Anxious magenta tone of photos, a haze, painted in sensations The earth look like an impending apocalypse. Children playing in this fire, blooming roses are as inappropriate and disturbed.

In the terrible summer in Australia, millions of hectares of land and forest were destroyed, people died, no more than a billion mammals, birds, animals were killed. Flood followed by fires. In cruel irony, the same areas were injured from him that they were destroyed by fire. A month after the flood, the COVID-19 pandemic happened

- A collective alarm emerged in the country, which I worried about the mother of a newborn and four-year-old child. I wondered two feelings in me - fighting and escape. With all my might I tried to find the balance between despair and emptying, while it was important to look positive for my children. It is very difficult, "recalls Lisa.

Executed alarms for sorridges in some surprising way it turns out to be made elevated beautiful. Running from the thickets of the trees. The boy seemed to come down with the cans of Rembrandt and Vermeer.

- Beautiful, absurd and terrible things often go hand in hand for me, "says Lisa's work.

Art and beauty she can find in everyday, often not the most pleasant circumstances. Pandemic and forced insulation prompted Srigini to take another no less sign project in the spirit of fashionable now - "Random Renaissance" (this category includes the pictures of modern reality, which are reminded by the Renaissance of the Renaissance.

The roles of Raphael Madonne photographer proposed to fulfill ordinary women with children, which because of the pandemic were imprisoned by their homes. In order not to violate the requirements of self-insulation, the sorridge photographed women through the glass. The window frame became framed for her portraits. With anyone from their models, Lisa has not previously seen. Communication took place through the social network.

The sorridge came to the agreed house. The filming were appointed on the second half of the day, when the soft sun is golden body and created beautiful deep shadows.

At its pictures, infants, similar to the replete cherubs on their hands from their mothers, bunches of grapes, purple slices of watermelon, light clothes, drapery. In these images, the signs of modernity go to the background, they seem to be highly classic portraits from the exposition of the Art Museum.

Glass, which separates from the outside world, has created the required voltage. It emphasized the double insulation, which women experience: due to the pandemic and the need to always be near the child.

"The windows are a barrier that holds a woman," Srigini shares. - The society does not tell us that the loss of personality is mixed to maternal love, sometimes despair. Mothers often feel completely lonely, but at the same time they crave this loneliness, striking in their children, trying to always be close to them.

A look through the prism is a favorite reception of srigin. After removing the series "Flowers under water" ("fragments of flowers under water"), she showed that the image could be not only beautiful. From its photographs blows cold, humidity, juiciness, they seem alive, burly. Water, as the right optics, emphasizes the fancy of the shape, overflows the colors, the texture of the inflorescence.

In order for the photographer at the time of shooting it turned out to use all his feelings, Lisa advises more often to contact the unknown: to be in unusual places, travel, experience new sensations.

The desire to engage in photography from her has arisen just during the three-month travel in Vietnam in 2006.

- I wanted to capture not only the sights, but also how the places are felt, smell like they sound. I understood that the photo is a visual carrier, but somehow it happened to me.

Lisa is a subtle psychologist, a sensitive artist. In their usual-unusual photographs, she catches the point of moment. Her pictures are suburban streets, wasteland, strange forgotten items. They seem to convince the viewers to think why the photographer turned to them as he wanted to tell.

- I am interested in the feeling of loneliness in many of my images. His abundance can be found in nature. Loneliness is needed that it is better to understand yourself, feel the moment.

Lisa lives in the state of New South Wales in the south-east of Australia. She has two little sons and daughter, whom she raises in a house on the beach. Her childhood was held in the city of Adelaide in a beautiful and large farmhouse. She says that sensuality and emotionality is obliged to its Italian family.

Lisa loves to plan new travels. She is inspired by the films of Wes Anderson, especially the operator's work of Robert David Yomen, whom she considers the genius of an ideally built frame. She is a fan of creativity of the American writer Patty Smith. Sorridge loves to reread her memoirs "just children."

- Patti Smith is a real poet. Her desire to make the art of the priority of his life incredibly me inspire me.

Despite the prestigious awards, shooting for large brands, Sorridges do not like to cost plans:

- I do not want my work to be too structured. This is so much in modern life. Photo - My little sanctuary of Freedom and I want to keep it like that. It is impossible to "find" your style, feel your aesthetics. He will find you myself - if you give him space.
