In Moscow, the historical house of Maltsev, which is located on Big Yakiman, is renovated.

As reported on the website of the Moscow City Hall, the building recently received the status of an object of cultural heritage, since it is a classic example of the city residential building of the XIX century in the eclectic style. The house, which has been abandoned for many years, is disconnected from communications. Currently, it takes garbage and put forests for the work of restorers.

Works will begin with facades, restored by archival documents and the preserved samples of the gypsum decor, adorning the house in the XIX century. Smooth surfaces painted in gray-blue, architectural and molding decor - in a white shade. If required, experts will additionally strengthen and cover the water-repellent composition of the white-mounted base of the main facade. On the facade from the court, the window will recreate the window that was originally at this place. The approach to the basement will also be restored. The house renovates windows and doors, the historical analogues will recreate double glazed inlet doors.

The roof of the house will be completely replaced, hearing windows with arched openings will make roofs, as well as equip chimneys with smoking. This imitation - chimney heating in the house will not be, although the furnaces themselves will restore as part of the interior. Inside it will be necessary to replace overlaps and rafters, as well as stairs, which are now in disserval. The playgrounds and steps will be made of stone, lost fences will recreate with historical analogues. If necessary, repair the stone laying of the archs will be repaired. In the house for the preserved historical sample, a boardwalk with frieze will be laid. All work will take about two years.

The house of Maltsev was built in 1817 - this is its first mention in urban documents. For 200 years, the house has changed a lot of owners, but the name behind it has been fixed by the name of the first owners. Each owner added something to his: Updated the facade's decoration, made an extension, equipped balcony. Over time, the building found the features of architectural eclectic. In the post-revolutionary years, the development of ownership has not changed, until the mid-80s of the XX century there were communal services.
