Where to install the tachograph?
The free space in the Mercique is a bit - all niches have long been lifted by the devices facilitating the driver's life during travel. I think the same situation in most other owners of small cargo cars. The device has a standard 1din car size and can be installed instead of music, but it was not possible to lose the last joy on the way of desire.- lack of direct sunlight;
- Ease of access, incl. For traffic police officers (so that smoked less on the cab);
- Easy installation due to the proximity of the speedometer and the ignition key with which the device connects to the wires;
- The location is not on the go, i.e. so that the device does not interfere with passengers;
- The remoteness from the eye of the non-random passerby, so that he did not break the glass during the parking lot and did not take out the tachograph (they still know that it is not a radio, and there is no point in installing a registered device on someone else's truck).
In my Mercedes, the front panel to the left of the steering wheel was the only place satisfying all requests. The panel is unfastened easily, so it is safe to mute and put on it to it, you can safely at home or in the garage.
How to make a tachograph holder?
Skills for work will be needed slightly more than a schoolboy when working with a metal designer in labor lessons. The problem is only in the search for material. I had time to cut, so the homemade is made of girlfriend:
- upper part from an unnecessary system unit;
- Set of cogs, washers and nuts (12 sets left);
- Bowling boots for giving a "commodity" type of product.
In addition, the tools were required: Bulgarian, hand drill, passation and screwdriver.
Progress
The device is completed with sled to install the control device. The homemade holder must have such dimensions so that the sleds are tightly entered into it (we take into account the presence of the screws inside the fastening, which also eaten a certain space). I got 18.5 cm x 5.5 cm.

Socketer is already without a lid, since the thought to fix the process of working on the smartphone camera has arrived after the lid has been dismantled and shed with a grinder to separate parts: top, bottom, two side walls and two corners for fastening the holder on the car panel. 2. The edges of the blanks bent inside and tightly pressed with the help of the passage, and then the hammer. This was done for one simple reason: the system cover had a bent at an angle of 90% of the side, which was easier to press to the main workpiece than to cut the grinder. 3.
