Pashinyan announced the accomplished resignation of the head of the General Staff Armenia

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared the accomplished resignation of the head of the General Staff, Gasparyan. This was reported by the press service of the Government of Armenia on March 10. Armenian President Armen Sargsyan appealed to the Constitutional Court of Clarifications.

The head of the General Staff of Armenia Onik Gasparyan was released from his position, since the President of the country Armen Sargsyan did not sign and did not appeal in the Constitutional Court of Prime Minister Nikola Pashinian about dismissal. "On March 10, the head of the General Staff Sun Onyk Gasparyan is exempt from the position of the law of the law," his press service quotes the Prime Minister.

In turn, the press service of the President of Armenia reported that Sargsyan sent a statement to the Constitutional Court to determine the issue of compliance with the Constitution of the Law "On Military Service and the Status of the Serviceman", according to which the head of the General Staff is prescribed. The presummer's decree itself was not challenged.

As explained in the press service of the President, this step is due to "the problems that have become more obvious as a result of the initiative of the Prime Minister on the dismissal" of Gasparyan and subsequent legal processes. Sargsyan also stressed that the court's response could have a "serious impact on the current solutions."

On the eve of the Armenian initiative citizens, led by the representative of the Chamber of Lawyers, Aroa Zograbyan, put forward demanding to the President to challenge Pashinian's decision in the Constitutional Court. At the same time, Zohrabyan accused Sargsyan in inaction regarding the situation on which the head of the state "no right". According to the representative of the Chamber of Lawyers, the dismissal of the Head of the General Staff Armenia will violate the functioning of an important department for the country.

We will remind, earlier Pashinyan dismissed the deputy head of the General Staff, who challenged his words about the ineffectiveness of Russian missile complexes "Iskander" in the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. In response to this, the head of the General Staff Armenia called on sending Prime Minister to resign. Later, Pashinyan twice filed the president of the country to dismiss the head of the General Staff, but Sargsyan both times refused to sign it.
