To date, all the conditions for transshipment of Belarusian petroleum products in the ports of Russia has been formed, said Deputy Head of Russian Railways Alexey Shilo at a briefing on February 1. According to him, Russian Railways are already participating in the negotiation process with Belarus at the level of the Ministry of Transport.
"On February to February, we have not received any applications for transportation and we have not laid them into our plans, but since March-April months we will be ready to transport these volumes in full, and everything that will be presented to translate", - Told Shilo.
The head of the Russian Railways noted that during the negotiations discusses various volumes of transportation, for example, diesel fuel is still planned to be transported through the Lithuanian port of Klaipeda. "But we are ready at least bright, even though dark petroleum products in full pick up," he stressed.
According to Shilo, the final volume of goods parties will be determined when signing an agreement, but today the Russian Railways infrastructure is completely ready even to transport 6 million tons. "That is, this is an unloaded direction, we have a traction, and wagons in the country with a big surgery," clarified a member of the Russian Railways leadership.
At the same time, Shilo noted that in addition to the transshipment of petroleum products, a dialogue on the crossing of the Russian ports of Belarusian fertilizers is underway. However, according to him, this issue requires further study, since today port capacities are almost completely occupied by Russian fertilizers.
Railways deputy head reminded a discount for goods from Belarus, which has been operating since 2016 for both domestic and Belarusian cars with empty and loaded flights. "To date, we have one of our long-term discounts. She can be proud of one of the very first discounts, which was adopted until 2025, "he summarized.
We will remind, on January 26, Moscow and Minsk agreed on the transshipment of goods through Russian ports. "In the near future, we plan to sign the appropriate intergovernmental agreement, which will provide for our traders, shippers economic conditions at least not worse than we had in the Baltic ports," said the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Puzzchenko, according to the results of the negotiations with the Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishoustin. The Russian government has already approved the draft document.
