Russian developers have created a system of algorithms capable of analyzing the patient information to recommend the physician the most rational treatment scheme of COVID-19. Conducted successful tests in medical clinics have already confirmed the effectiveness of the system.

It is noteworthy that initially the system was developed by scientists representing the University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics (ICTO) in St. Petersburg, for work on oncological and cardiovascular diseases, however, in connection with the pandemic, was reoriented to the treatment of patients with COVID-19. The basis for algorithms was Russian and foreign official clinical protocols. As the developers explained, the system compares information from the electronic medapation of the patient with a set of databases on different diseases and their therapy, while the method of analyzing information using artificial intelligence is applied. Each of the algorithms is aimed at predicting and clarifying certain profile factors, for example, leads to accounting for a certain amount of drugs and treatment methods, as well as the probable states of the patient. In addition, algorithms apply data on the interaction of drugs from WHO bases, and some of them read X-rays.

According to experts, the complex has already passed a few successful tests in the medical structures of the country, in particular, in the Nimz. V.A. Diamosis. During testing, doctors were studied more than three hundred real diseases of the diseases, on the basis of which experts generated several patients with diseases of varying severity. In this case, the algorithms make it possible to use doctors 2-4 times less temporary costs for different functions.

"The system will mark everything that can even if there are no problems there, and the doctor will decide. At the same time, the decision always remains for the doctor - the program only highlights the" suspicious "details and recommends the method of treatment," said one of the development makers, Associate Professor Alexander Vatyan. At the moment, scientists decide the integration of all system interfaces to one program complex, within which doctors will be able to exchange information data and consult each other. It is reported that the time representation of the prototype of a unified program for the adoption of clinical decisions created on the basis of an automated approach will be the summer of 2021, and the first of the issues will be entirely aimed at COVID-19 therapy, including with various complications.
